Lettuce On Tacos, And Puppies
1. A fifth grader in Massachusetts named Xavier went to State Representative Orlando Ramos with a concern: There was no lettuce on the tacos that were served at his school. Ramos contacted the food provider and signed new legislation that from now on lettuce will be included on the menu for taco day.
The new bill extends district-wide. Xavier says the tacos are “better” now.
2. In Britain, a man has been bringing puppies into nursing homes in England as a way to help ease depression, loneliness, and anxiety in the elderly people that live there. Larry Cooley, the owner of The Bully Ranch and man who started this project, and an expert say bringing the puppies to the residents of the home has made a huge difference for their mental health and the puppies love it too.
