A man and woman in western Pennsylvania are facing fraud charges after they faked a pregnancy to get free baby shower gifts, and bought a realistic doll to make people think the woman gave birth. Then they faked the baby’s DEATH, so they could bilk their friends and family out of more money to pay for the funeral. A few of their former friends talked to reporters about it, including the woman who organized the baby shower.

Visitors to Paris Louvre Museum are furious that museum staff are allowing them less than ONE minute to view the famed Mona Lisa, after waiting in line hours just to see da Vinci’s masterpiece.
The painting draws about 30,000 people per day — or about 80 percent of visitors to the museum itself — and it’s been a struggle for staff to keep crowds moving along. That’s because the portrait was recently moved from its usual gallery in the Salle des États, now under renovation, to the Galérie Médicis.
The relocation has caused bottlenecks of visitors to crowd the hallways — prompting the museum to restrict potential Mona Lisa spectators to only those who have pre-booked.

Larry King is seeking to end his marriage to his seventh wife. The 85-year-old former CNN host filed for divorce from his wife of 22 years, Shawn King, on Tuesday. The request for divorce cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. This union marks King’s eighth marriage to seven women.

GOOD NEWS
Dan Magennis of Grand Rapids, Michigan called Comcast last Tuesday to complain about an issue with his cable. And he felt fine when he dialed the number.
But by the time someone picked up, something wasn’t right. His arm felt heavy and he couldn’t talk . . . because it turned out he was having a STROKE.
Kimberly Williams was at a Comcast call center over 1,200 miles away in Jackson, Mississippi. And luckily, she realized what was happening.
It turns out she’d witnessed her grandmother having a stroke years earlier. So she knew the warning signs, and got on the phone with first responders in Dan’s area. Then they got him to a hospital.
His doctor says he would have had a MASSIVE stroke if they hadn’t gotten there so quickly, and he could’ve died.
But they were able to minimize the damage. And he left the hospital two days later with almost NO lasting effects from it.

WOMAN FIRED FOR MISSING WORK AFTER DOG DIED SAYS BEREAVEMENT LEAVE SHOULD COVER PETS
A Scottish 18-year-old who was fired from her fast food job when she missed work after her dog died is calling for employees’ bereavement leave to cover pets.
Emma McNulty of Glasgow was distraught after the sudden death of her family’s dog, Millie, and was too upset to work her shift the next day. McNulty said, “Following [Millie] unexpected death, I informed my manager I could not come into work as I was too devastated and physically sick to do so. Instead of being shown the compassion and sympathy stated in the contract, I was sent a number of nasty messages and told I had to cover my shift as no bereavement time was allowed for pets.”
She didn’t show up for the shift and was fired. McNulty has started a petition for pet bereavement leave that has gotten thousands of signatures.
She said, “A family pet . . . has just as much importance as human family members,” and called for companies to acknowledge that and give people time to grieve.

At What Age Did You Have Your First Kiss, First Job, and First Cell Phone?
Were you a typical teenager, or a late bloomer? Over 200,000 people took an online poll that asked about different milestones a lot of us hit in our teenage years. Here are big early life moments, and when they happen . . .
- Your first job. Again, 14 to 17 was the #1 answer. 18 to 21 was next. Only 4% of people were older than that when they first started working.
- Your first cell phone. A lot of millennials must have taken the poll. Because the top answer was between 10 and 13 years old. The second most popular was 14 to 17.
- The first time you drove a car. “Before 16” was the #1 answer. Around 4% said they didn’t drive until they were in their 20s.
- Your first time flying on a plane. Almost everyone was a kid the first time they flew. Only 3% were 20 or older. And 6% said they’ve still never flown.
- The first time you got drunk. “Before 18” was the top answer with 49%. Almost no one said they were older than 23. But 26% said they’ve never been drunk.

Five Things You Might Not Know About UV Damage
Summer officially starts tomorrow. And a new poll looked at how much people know . . . and DON’T know . . . about the dangers of too much sun. Here are five things you might not know about UV damage . . .
- 30% of people didn’t know you can still get burnt on a cloudy day. Clouds only block about 20% of UV rays. So you still need to wear sunblock.
- 55% didn’t know you’re still exposed to UV rays in the shade. They can bounce off stuff and hit you. Like sand, for example. It reflects 17% of the UV rays that hit it.
- Almost a quarter of people think they’re fine as long as they don’t get burnt. The truth is ANY amount of sun exposure is harmful to your skin. So even a nice tan could be bad for you.
- Yes, you can still get sunburnt through a window. Glass only filters out one kind of radiation . . . UVB rays. But UVA rays can still get through. Fun fact: You’re more likely to have freckles on the left side of your face because of driving.
- A third of people didn’t know that too much sun is bad for your eyes. UV rays play a role in about 20% of cataract cases. So make sure you have a good pair of sunglasses that block UV rays. And make sure your normal glasses have UV protection too.

Rascal Flatts on All the Weird Injuries They’ve Had While On Stage
The RASCAL FLATTS guys were talking about all the weird injuries they’ve had while performing.
Sometimes it’s just them being clumsy, and other times it’s because of those “pop-up toaster lifts” that artists are on as they rise from beneath the stage. (I didn’t know they were called toasters either.)
Anyway, turns out that’s not the safest way to make an entrance. JOE DON ROONEY says, quote, “The toasters [are] tweaked his knee.”
The rest of the injuries cover a wide range of mishaps. He adds, quote, “We’ve done about everything to capture everybody’s phobias on video at this point, every tour we’ve done.
“We’ve been pulled off stage. We’ve fallen offstage. We’ve split our pants on stage. There’s been blood. There’s been near pass-outs. So yeah, it’s a dangerous gig, but we love it.”
CHRIS JANSON’S FAMILY TRAVELS AS A ‘UNIT’ – (08/15/2019)
Chris Janson has made his career a family affair. His wife, Kelly, is his manager, and he tells us that wherever he goes you can usually find their combined four kids in tow, too.[“To be honest with ya, I would not want to do it without them. I don’t feel comfortable traveling without Kelly, and I don’t feel comfortable working without Kelly so therefore she is my manager. You know, our kids, I think the most important part for us is we don’t ever impress what we do upon them. It’s just kind of the lifestyle so they can go if they want to and they don’t have to go if they don’t want to, that kind of thing, but we travel as a unit just because I mean we’re a family. That’s what families are supposed to do. They’re supposed to spend time with one another.”]
Chris won’t have too far to travel with his family when he returns to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville to play his second sold-out headlining show at the venue on September 25th, his first since officially becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Chris’ third studio album, Real Friends, is due out on October 18th.
MATT STELL IS HAVING FUN WATCHING FANS CONNECT WITH HIS MUSIC – (08/23/2019)
Matt Stell is watching his fan base steadily grow with the success of his debut single, “Prayed For You.” Those fans are also more familiar with his music than ever before, which Matt tells us exclusively has been so much fun to watch.
